About Me

My name is Kelsey Long and I am currently enrolled in the online Entertainment Business Masters program at Full Sail University. I was born in Seattle, Washington and lived in Fife, Washington for most of my life until I started college. I went to several schools for my Bachelor's, but officially graduated from the University of Washington with a Drama degree. During my undergraduate study, I interned for two television shows and moved to New York City for about eight months. That was when I truly became interested in all aspects of the entertainment business. I worked for five months as a Talent Intern for the “Late Show with David Letterman” and then worked the summer months as a Production Intern for “Live with Regis and Kelly”. I loved every minute of living in New York and experiencing live television the way that I did. I recently moved to Ireland for a year on a student visa, so I’m so I’m very excited to work, travel, and experience the entertainment industry over here. After the year, I plan to move to either New York or Los Angeles and hope to get my foot in the door! I would love to eventually be doing something in television. The purpose of this blog is to cover and discuss anything topical related to the entertainment industry: television, film, radio, drama, marketing etc. Although it is very broad, I want to put some focus on the industry here in Europe, and note some differences, similarities, and facts I find interesting.
